Summer Skincare Routine: Products To Help Your Skin Glow & Stay Hydrated

The time has come, our favourite season is here and we couldn’t be more excited. Today we’re here to share our summer skincare routine with you all! Summer is our skin’s time to shine. Especially if you live in a part of the world where you’re stuck inside for long periods of time or you’re dealing with cold temperatures all winter and you experience dryness from the cold air. Summer is when we want to glow, feel hydrated and show off our natural beauty!🙂

That is why we’re going to share our summer skincare routine and why we chose these products to carry us through the summer months. Our advice is based on which skincare works best for us and our personal skin goals. You may have different areas you want to target and we’d love to hear what you’re using below in the comment section. Now let’s dive into our favourite products this season!

“Everyone’s summer skincare routine may look different. It’s important to choose products that suit you and your goals.”

Meg’s Summer Skincare Routine:

Wash with the Farmacy Whipped Greens Oil Free Foaming Cleanser. This cleanser washes away dirt after a long day working outdoors while also purifying and refreshing the skin. It does not strip your skin from any natural oils. This product takes away stubborn dirt and build up but also keeps you hydrated and feeling oh so clean.

Then in the AM, follow with the Farmacy 10% Waterless Vitamin C Serum . This serum brightens, targets dark spots, and reduces hyperpigmentation. Vitamin C is great for the adding glow and helping soothe the texture of your skin. But make sure to wear your sunscreen daily as Vitamin C can increase the light sensitivity of your skin!

In the PM, the Farmacy 1% Vitamin A Retinol Serum is a great formula to tighten the skin’s texture by gently exfoliating and helping prevent fine lines. This product is gentle enough to use every night or every other night depending on the sensitivity of your skin. Just remember to keep applying sunscreen as your skin will be more sensitive!

Final step is the moisturizing to lock it all in! Meg uses the Three Ships Dream Bio-Retinol + Shorea Butter Night Cream and the Radiance Grape Stem Cell + Squalane Day Cream. Both moisturizers are fantastic for keeping the moisture at peak condition on your skin! They both have amazing reviews too.

Cornelia’s Summer Skincare Routine:

Wash with the Cerave’s hydrating facial cleanser. This is a simple cleanser that gently cleans and takes away stubborn makeup and dirt and doesn’t leave your skin feeling dry. It also is super economical and lasts such a long time, I haven’t bought new face wash in almost 2 years!

Then follow with the Clearstem BOUNCEBACK “No Botox Serum“. This can be used AM or PM and is such a great treatment for healing acne scars and filling your skin with moisture. There are stem cells, collagen, peptides and calming oils in the ingredient list that make this a potent serum!

Three times a week, use the Alumier retinol to help exfoliate dead skin cells and promote the regrowth of new skin cells which helps with scarring and fine lines as we get older. On the other 3-4 nights of the week, the REN Ready Steady Glow AHA Toner is a great boost to the skin that helps gently exfoliate, tighten pores and adds a bit of glow to the skin as it helps with texture.

Final step is the moisturizing to lock it all in! In the AM, I go between the REN Evercalm Barrier Support Antioxidant Moisturizer and the Clearstem HYDRAGLOW Stem Cell Moisturizer. In the PM, layer on the oil and let your skin drink it in. Right now I am using the REN Evercalm Barrier Support Face Oil.

Oil has been a huge factor in helping restore the skin’s moisture barrier and also help heal acne scars. As someone who has tried everything under the sun to combat acne and skin concerns, using pure oils has been a game changer. Trust me, you won’t break out like you thought you would when you were a teenager! Actually using natural oils can be more effective than harsh products that strip the skin.

“Oil has been a huge factor in helping restore the skin’s moisture barrier and also help heal acne scars.”

To top it all off, once a week is a great time to use a face mask and pamper yourself. I go between the Youth to the People Superclay Purify + Clear Power Mask with Niacinamide and the CLEARSTEM PREGAME Face Mask x Jess Clarke.
